Anonymous sources

The use of an anonymous source or a source with only a first name will not be tolerated in any projects. If you have a reason to use an anonymous source, you need to obtain the permission of the professor to use that source. In recent classes, only two legitimate uses of anonymous sources have occurred: the name of a foster child and a person engaged in criminal activity.

The reason for this policy: Anonymous sources greatly lower the credibility of the story and can lead to a great deal of dishonesty or manipulation on the part of the source.

If you use an anonymous source without permission, you will automatically lose a full grade on the assignment. If you cannot provide the full name of the source, the story will not be posted.
