[Holy Reedemer](https://www.holyredeemer.com/Main/Home.aspx)’s Food Cupboard is feeding local families and the elderly community throughout September, which is Hunger Action Month. With weekly donations from [Philabundance](https://www.philabundance.org), Holy Redeemer Health System, Giant and Trader Joe’s, Holy Reedemer’s Food Cupboard reaches out to its Northeast Philadelphia community to supply healthy food such as bread, milk, juice, frozen food, and canned food. It’s not just about Hunger Action Month for this non-profit organization, though. “We get a lot of the same faces, so we really have a connection with these people,” said Mary Dolan, the Director of Holy Redeemer’s Food Cupboard. The Food Cupboard was started in 1995 by Sister Kathryn and is a shared program of the [Sisters of Holy Redeemer](https://www.sistersholyredeemer.org) and Holy Redeemer’s Health System. Jennifer Rosmondo, a Food Cupboard volunteer, regularly contributes her time to help the people in her community and not just during Hunger Action Month. “It personally makes me feel like what we do makes a difference for families everyday,“ said Rosmondo. The Holy Reedemer Food Cupboard is located at 12265 Townsend Rd, Philadelphia, Pa. They accept food and monetary donations and are open every week from Tuesday to Thursday.
