Olney: This Week In The News — Scholarships, Remembering The Clock Man And More

Rowan R.A.I.S.E. Takes High Schools to Med School – The Rudman Foundation not only sponsors Discovery Days for high school students, but also has provided more than $500,000 in college scholarships to Olney Charter High School students who have completed the Health Tech Mentorship program at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. Obituary: George H. Becker, Elevator Repairman Who Loved Clocks – George H. Becker, a 72-year-old retired Army veteran who graduated from Olney High School in 1962, died of cancer on Wednesday. His request to be cremated and have his ashes placed in a cuckoo clock will be honored by the family. (via philly.com)

Obituary: Carolyn Jane Maltz – Carolyn Jane Maltz, who was 83 years old, born in Olney and graduated from Little Flower High School in 1951, passed away in her Levittown home on Saturday. (via Bucks County Courier Times)
