Police Release Footage of Suspects Wanted for Anti-Police Graffiti: The Philadelphia Police Department released footage of suspects wanted for spray-painting anti-police graffiti in South Philadelphia. Police are investigating a potential connection to the “Kill a Cop Save a Life” graffiti found in Point Breeze last week. (via Philadelphia Magazine)

Independent files to run for City Controller: Rob Bowers, a former assistant treasurer for the city of Philadelphia and resident of Point Breeze, has declared candidacy as an independent in the race for City Controller. Citizens will vote on this position in the upcoming general election on Nov. 7. Bowers will be up against Democratic nominee Rebecca Rhynhart and Republican nominee Michael Tomlinson. Police Arrest Man Stealing from Point Breeze Resident: Point Breeze resident Daniel Donovan reported a man stealing from his mailbox at 4:20 p.m. on Aug. 1 on the 2100 block of Manton Street. The suspect was arrested less than 24 hours later. (via Facebook)

Motorcycle Stolen on Chadwick Street: According to Point Breeze resident Chris Augustin, a neighbor’s motorcycle was stolen on Wednesday afternoon at 2200 Chadwick St. Augustin followed up with news that a motorcycle was also stolen the night before at 17th and Wolf streets, advising residents to lock up their belongings.
