Temple University reporters will be covering the national and local races on Tuesday in a state that has become one of the key battlegrounds between President Barack Obama and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

Special election coverage will begin at 8 p.m. on Temple University Television, which can be seen on the web at templetv.net, and on Comcast 50 and Verizon 45 in Philadelphia. Under the direction of Professors Turner and Fran Viola, a special report will begin at 9 p.m.
The election also pits incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey Jr. against GOP businessman Tom Smith in what has become a tight race.
Eighteen U.S. representatives will be chosen, along with state races for attorney general, treasurer, state auditor, and all of the 203 seats in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives and 25, or half, of the Senate.
