Port Richmond: This Week In The News – Marijuana Dispensaries, Street Racing And Theft In The Neighborhood

In case you missed in, we found a few places where people are talking about things happening in Port Richmond:

State awards one marijuana dispensary in Fishtown, two in Northeast – Pennsylvania Department of Health awarded 27 medical marijuana dispensaries across the state, but just three in Philadelphia. Restore Integrative Wellness Center LLC will be opening up on Frankford Ave. while the other two Philadelphia-based dispensaries will take up shop in Parkwood and Bustleton. (via Star News)

Drag racing through the River Wards – Port Richmond residents and law enforcement officials are concerned about illegal street racing occurring through the streets of the River Ward community. (via Star News)

Man spotted breaking into cars early Friday morning – A man was caught on video surveillance stealing a garden hose and attempting to break into multiple cars along the 2500 block of E Clearfield Street early Friday morning (June 30). The video was posted by Facebook user Hank Collins, and no update has been provided on the suspect. The video footage can be seen through the Facebook link above.
