Philadelphia Neighborhoods sat down with Marilyn Rodriguez, the Education Director at Taller Puertorriqueño. Taller is an arts and culture organization in the heart North Philadelphia, a neighborhood that is home to approximately 67,000 Hispanic residents.
Rodriguez spoke about the importance of preserving culture for future generations, her journey as a community leader and proud Puerto Rican in North Philadelphia, and how her own family’s history has shaped her work.
