Point Breeze: This Week In The News – Neighborhood Sees Significant Progress, Lost Dog Found On 23rd Street And More

Point Breeze, Fairmount among Philly neighborhoods seeing the most progress– According to in-depth analysis of data from the U.S. census from 2009 to 2014, based on how neighborhoods had prospered from the city’s overall growth and development. Permit Parking Sign on Federal Street– According to a picture taken by resident Mike LaMonaca, a sign was put up on the 1500 block of Federal Street noting the street’s new regulation limiting parking to two hours, excluding those with a permit. (via The Bold and the Breezy Facebook group)

Lost Dog Found in Point Breeze: A brown, medium-sized terrier and pit bull mix named Eric was found at 1623 S. 23rd St. on Monday, Aug. 21. Eric’s listing can be found at www.acctphilly.org/lostpet. (via Lost and Found Pets, Philadelphia Facebook page)

Bicyclist ambushed and shot in Point Breeze section of Philadelphia: Police are searching for the gunmen responsible for ambushing and shooting a 28-year-old man at South 16th and Latona streets around midnight Wednesday morning. The victim was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in critical condition. (via 6ABC)
