A Haven of Hope for Philadelphia’s Unhoused

By: Tim DePetris

Broad Street Love is an organization that serves the impoverished people in Philadelphia. The organization is in an old church in Philadelphia and provides many services such as mailing, mending, food distribution, medical, and clothing distribution services. People are invited to choose five free items to create an outfit. The experience is designed to simulate shopping in a department store, such as Macy’s.
