The Monarchs continue to have a positive effect on players, parents, and its founder.

Chris Hytha, a recent graduate of Drexel University, has started selling his photography as NFT’s. Hytha’s original collection, Rowhomes, has surpassed over 300 ETH (Ethereum) of volume sold on OpenSea.

There will be a West Philly porchfest held on June 4, 2022 where West Philly homeowners host their porch for a free music festival across the neighborhood.

Debbie Anday started Stash Spot in March to hopefully solve an issue that has become more common since the start of the pandemic: people stealing unattended packages from resident’s porches and stoops. These so-called “porch pirates” are rarely caught, but frustrate residents regardless. 

Saved Me Adoption Center held their annual spring cleaning event on on Saturday, April 30.

Al-Aqsa Eman Mustafa is a teacher at Al-Aqsa School, a private Islamic day school that is part of Al-Aqsa Islamic Society mosque at 1501 Germantown Ave. Al-Aqsa is an important center for many Philadelphia muslims, hosting religious services, a halal grocery store, and an Islamic school.

Eugene “Buddah” Thomas formed Power Circle Mentoring in 2015, a program designed to help children 11-19 gain the life skills needed to achieve their dreams. Since then, the nonprofit has reached about 700 kids through summer programs, job assistance, weekly classes, and pop-up events, Thomas said.
