This facility located on 2109 W. Diamond Street, is a family practice that offers physical therapy, home health, orthopaedics, x-rays and pharmacy. Marva Lee a nurse at the medical office noticed a significant improvement in the North Philadelphia community the practice is located in. “The neighborhood has definitely improved in gun violence,” Lee said. “The people in the community never mess with us, they protect us.”Lee explained that the employees of In-Touch Medical Associates, Inc. have built a close relationship with the surrounding community residents. Two of the chief complaints and medical issues their patients have are high blood pressure and diabetes. In addition to that, many patients enter as a result of a motor vehicle accident.In-touch Medical Associates, Inc. is open five days a week and receives a lot of patients from various
neighborhoods in Philadelphia as well as students from Temple University.“We also get Temple students who mostly come in for physicals every now and then,” Lee explained. This medical office has been around for over 29 years and is continuing their relationship and assistance to the surrounding community.
