From the Editors: No. 1

It’s heartening to see everyone who is reading our website. We had more than 100,000 users with more than 250,000 page views over the past year. Thank you!

It’s also heartening to see when we do well that  people tell us.

It’s also heartening to see when we make mistakes that  people tell us. We apologize to our Port Richmond readers about our error concerning the number of Catholic schools there. As a practicing Roman Catholic, I cannot tell a lie that it bothered me that we made those mistakes!

It is amazing to me how many people commented about the tagging of a mural in Kensington. We appreciate your views–although I had to keep a few off the board because of profanity.

We plan to create community forums in the near future, That way people in various communities can talk among themselves without us standing in the way.

Please tell us what you would like to see more of and what you would like to see less of. Our upcoming focus is on housing. Please let us know if you have any stories you would like to share. about the good, the bad and the ugly of housing in your neighborhoods.

If there are events you think we should cover, please let us know. We operate basically as a weekly newspaper, so I cannot promise we can cover everything.

Most of all, thank you for stopping by our site.
