This past Sunday, President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden visited Robert Fulton Elementary School in Germantown as part of the “Moving America Forward” rally. In his speech, President Obama claimed that the country would only move backward if the Republican Party were to take control. Other  speakers at the Democratic event were Gov. Ed Rendell, U.S. Rep. Joe Sestak, Mayor Michael Nutter and Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato. All were speaking in hopes of encouraging Democrats in the Philadelphia region to get out and vote in this coming election. In addition to the speeches, there was a short performance from the Philadelphia hip hop group, The Roots.

  1. I know for sure I’ll be voting for Obama, even though we’re going through a very rough period, I think he’s handling it very well considering the circumstances.
