Accuracy is the most important attribute of any story. Mistakes do occur.

When an error occurs, the reporter and editors will determine the severity of the error.

If the error is severe, such as the misspelling of a name or an inaccurate representation of an incident or event, the correction will be made in the post, and a full correction will be added to story and under Behind the News.

If the error is less severe, such as an incorrect address or an incorrect geographical location of a neighborhood or its name, the information will be corrected within the body of the post, with a notation added at the bottom of the post of the changes.

Any questions concerning any potential invasion of privacy, libel or defamation should be immediately referred to the co-directors of the program BEFORE posting of any story.

If necessary, a full retraction of a story may be necessary. Such action will be determined by the co-directors of the program, in consultation with Temple University legal staff.

The final decision of how to treat a correction or retraction will be made by the co-directors of the program, in consultation with Temple University legal staff.
