Arts & Entertainment: Philadelphia’s Glass Making Culture – Philadelphia Glass Land Part 2

Philadelphia is a city full of artists. Glassmakers form one of the many communities that is making an international name for itself.

A huge way that pipe glass makers get their names out there is through selling their finished works to head shops. In Philadelphia especially, head shops love to showcase local artists. Other artists sell their works on their own accords through different social media websites. Stores do not exist solely in an address based way and some owners work from online head shops.

Through interviews at stores in Philadelphia, including Creep Records, Wonderland and The Finer Things Gallery, with artists Hops, Zii and Eva Shelley, we explore the personal journeys of how these artists showcase work and how stores thrive.
