The North Philly News website to be launched will allow certain classes in Temple’s Department of Journalism to engage, explore, and report stories that are meaningful to the community members who live in the neighborhoods surrounding Temple University.

The North Philly Narratives Network is an opportunity for North Philadelphian community members to share with journalists what is going on in North Philly in our own words, for journalists to share with North Philly neighbors how their reporting process works, and for the two to build relationships.
To date, several conversations have taken place at the Beckett Life Center (1410 North 16th St.) to listen to community members in order for reporters and the local news media to find ways to meet North Philly neighborhoods’ needs. This is an ongoing effort and conversation.
