A movie clapboard snapped as someone yelled “take three” from on set. A camera started recording as a familiar actor began his performance.

Here is a look ehind the scenes of the new Flix Fling commercial.

This might sound like something from a typical Hollywood production, but it actually happened to be from a scene filmed right in Philadelphia’s backyard.

Invincible Pictures and Philadelphia Soundstages is a full-scale production and distribution studio located at the corner of Fifth and Oxford street in a massive warehouse made noticeable by just a few movie-themed murals.

Owner Tom Ashley said,  “People still may not know exactly what this is when they walk by.”

This seems hard to believe with the things that go on inside.

The facility is the only full-service motion picture studio in Philadelphia.

Producer Paula Enfield oversees the commercial production.

The soundstages included everything from music videos to film productions to commercials.

Soundstages most recent production has been a commercial for Flix Flings, a product created by the minds behind Invincible Pictures that is packed with qualities that competitor Netflix doesn’t have.

“I would have to say that this would probably be my favorite production so far just based on the sets,” said Cat Badgers a painting director.

“It took a week of 10 to 11 hour days to get this done,” Badgers added.

The hard-working crew poses for a photo as the commercial wraps up.

“It is a lot of build up for something that takes only a day to shoot,” Ashley said.

As the commercial began to wrap up it was clear that the staff’s hard work paid off.

Within minutes the set would come down as the studio prepared to take on their next production challenge.
