At the corner of Eighth Street and Lindley Avenue, a store offers those who want low-priced clothing and a tasteful dose of fashion. For the owners of Trendy Trio, three sisters starting their own business was not for the money or benefits but rather helping people dress to impress for an inexpensive price.
Treny Trio is the result of a discussion among three sisters trying to find ways to help those who are less fortunate in their local community.
“By starting out, we each piled a bunch of clothes from our own closets to start,” said Tyesha Langley, the store manager and cousin of owner, Tacora Johnson. “It was never about making money to us, we just wanted to help people.”
All of the clothes in Trendy Trio are donated and sold for a reasonable price. Many popular clothing brands for children and adults of all ages can be found in the store. Polo, Coach and Children’s Place are just some of the many brands that are scattered throughout the store’s clothing racks.
“We offer a different style and make a difference in people’s lives in an inexpensive way,” Tyesha said.
The Trendy Trio family’s goal is to cultivate each person’s individual style and is currently looking to relocate to a faster paced area with more traffic. They hope to expand their business in the future and always appreciate clothing donations. The Trendy Trio family believes that “it is simply the best the second time around.”
