Gamification, a relatively new term, has become a topic of much discussion when it comes to the meaning of the word and its existence outside of video games. This idea of gamification is loosely defined as a way to incorporate gaming elements and design into non-gaming situations, such as the workplace.

“There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past year,” said Nathan Solomon, the founder of Philadelphia Game Lab, a non-profit group in the works that is aimed at creating a collaborative space for local creative minds.
