A sit-in food truck just became the new Sunday brunch.

Guerilla Ultima, run by Chef Robert Legget, is an American BBQ food truck in Philadelphia. Like any other mobile restaurant in the city, it makes appearances in different locations at different timings. Except on every Sunday, from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M., when the Guerilla Ultima is parked next to 2nd Street Brew House, a local Pennsport bar, for an interesting brunch experience.

The idea to team up the Brew House and Guerilla Ultima came when Legget was a customer at the bar, wanting to try something new in the neighborhood.

“He approached us about it,” said Jim Clark, co-owner of Brew House with his wife Tiff.

Knowing Legget’s reputation as a chef, there was no hesitation in partnering up.

“He’s won awards,” said Clark. “He’s well known around here. He’s even from the area! He lives a couple blocks away.”

The Sunday Brunch will feature a new menu every week of Guerilla Ultima’s creative take on the American BBQ, fusing together cuisines and ingredients of Asian, Peruvian, Italian and Mexican descent. Customers can take their meals inside the Brew House, which is at the corner of South Second and Morris streets, where they can watch sports and order a beer.

“This will happen every week,” said Legget. He then laughed, refusing to put an expiration date on the fun event. “For as long as– until  I die!”
