At the corner of 16th and Diamond streets, pedestrians overhear voices of praise lifting through the crisp February air as they walked by the Epiphany Fellowship building.

Every Sunday, the Epiphany Fellowship, a local church community, has its weekly church services. However, these services extend long after the weekend is over.

Gregory George, a 26-year-old member of the lay leadership, explained some of the different services offered by the church.

“We meet together as a large group on Sunday mornings, ” said George, “but we also meet in smaller groups throughout the week in people’s homes. That’s what we call our Life Groups.”

The Life Groups are meant to give those throughout the community an opportunity to participate in study and worship outside of the church’s building. Their mission is to not only spread the word of God to people in its surrounding area but to others throughout the city of Philadelphia.

Six years ago, the Epiphany Fellowship was founded as a multiethnic church focused on bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to inner city communities like North Philadelphia.

“We are here because of Lord Jesus and basically a big family. Part of life with our God is life with one another.”

More information about the Epiphany Fellowship can be found at its website.
